dc.description.abstract | Many of the beloved bed-time stories from today were not created with the purpose of entertaining the young masses, but rather of educating it through rigid sets of values and morals; throughout time they were rewritten to appeal to children of all ages. Further works, created specifically for the delight of the young generations, captivated the attention of adults. Due to the fantastic universes that were not limited by the restrictions imposed by the real word, more and more fantasy elements served as inspiration for new products, not only literary ones, and were reshaped then molded to fit genres that suit the taste of more mature audiences. The current paper looks into the differences between the numerous retellings of stories that became known as cannon in children’s literature and how they were altered in order to be reshaped in video games. | ro_RO |
