The aim of the work presented in this paper is to analyze the influence of the imperfections on the changes in the buckling behaviour of ship deck plates made of composite materials. Thus, parametric analysis of the postbuckling behaviour of compositeplates with initial transversal deformations and delaminations are treated. The cosine initial deformation and an orthotropic delamination model, describing the mode of delaminating, are applied. The damaged part of the structures and the undamaged part have been represented by well-known finite elements (layered shell elements). The influence of the various magnitudes of initial deformation and position and the ellipse’s diameters ratio of delaminated zone on the critical buckling force are investigated. The plates are made of E-glass polyester, having the dimensions: 320 x 320 mm and thickness of 5.12 mm. The numerical analysis is done using COSMOS/M soft.
